The aim of the Kells & District Motor Cycle Racing Club which has been in existence since 1992 is to bring high quality internationally recognised motor racing to County Meath. For over 20 years now the club have succeeded in attracting many of the finest racers both from home and abroad to the annual festival of speed. The Kells International Road Races are the biggest national road races in Southern Ireland and the only road races in the country to have achieved recognition from the FIM the sports’ international governing body. This event is unique to Co. Meath and is beyond doubt the largest sporting event in the north of the County thank to the effort and commitment of club members and the loyalty of their class prize sponsors.  The Kells & District Motor Cycle Racing Club Ltd. is run by volunteers, who work hard all year round to promote the Kells Road Races.
